TS TET - 2015-16 

TET notification for the posts of Teacher. The government of Telangana has decided to conduct the TET exam on 24th January 2016 according to the sources. The government released official notification on 16th November and the candidates can check the details at below or from the information bulletin. However, the Teacher Eligibility Test will be conducted by the Telangana government for the first time after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. The candidates who wish to pursue their job in Teaching profession can apply for the posts from 18th of this month.  One can check the remaining details here as we walk you through the article with every detail. TSTET 2016 Exam Syllabus and Paper Pattern

Teacher Eligibility Test known as TET is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8. It is conducted by both Central government and State governments in India. Most states conduct their own TET. The test is conducted in order fulfill and achieve the goals of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act.  This TET would be the first for the govt of Telangana as they will be conducting the TET in January 2016. This TET would be the fifth overall till date. The TET recruitment notification will release officially in December and the online application will also commence in the month of December ie., 2nd December 2015. The notification will be released to fill up around 10961 posts. There are about 2 lakhs candidates who are waiting to grab a chance and wish to apply for the posts. 

As TET exam will be conducted by the Telangana Government for the first time, there is no  reference for the candidates to check the paper pattern and the syllabus of the exam. However, one can check the details of the APTET which was conducted before the bifurcation of the state. The paper pattern and the syllabus will not change as in APTET except due to the new rules and acts in the new government will be changed slightly.  The candidates can check the details like eligibility criteria, age limit, and other stuff where we have provided in our previous articles. 

TSTET 2016 Paper Pattern

All the questions will be in multiple choice questions
Each question carries one mark and there will be no negative marking
There are two papers, Paper 1 is to the candidates who intend to teach students for classes I to V
Paper 2 is to the candidates who intend to teach students for classes VI to VIII
The candidates who wish to teach from I to VIII classes should appear for both the papers


TSTET 2016 Exam Syllabus: The candidates who wish to apply for the teacher posts for classes I to V has to be thorough with the following topics.  There will be 30 questions for each section and each section is for 30 marks. In total, there will be 150 MCQ’s for 150 marks. The time frame is 2hr 30 minutes.

  • TS TET Notification Release Date - 16.11.2015
  • Payment Start & End Date- 18-Nov-2015 to 09-Dec-2015

TET Reservation Pass Criteria


1.i) OC - 60% Marks and above
2.ii) BC - 50% Marks and above
3.iii) SC - 40% Marks and above
4.iv) ST - 40% Marks and above
5.v) Differently abled (PH)- 40% Marks and above

Physically Handicapped with at least 40% handicap only will be considered in respect of Visually Handicapped and Orthopedically Handicapped. With regard to Hearing Impaired, minimum 75% handicap will be considered under PH category
