In the reference 2nd read above, the Commissioner of Technical Education,
Telangana State, Hyderabad has stated that the State Board of Technical Education and
Training, Hyderabad (SBTET) is the agency for conducting the POLYCET exam for admission
into Polytechnics of both the States and is included in the Xth Schedule of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014. She further requested for a clarification on continuation of 371D of the Presidential Order 1974, with regard to Statewide institutions and Statewide courses, which are included in the Presidential Order but are not in the Xth Schedule.
        In the letter 3rd read above, the Chairman, State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad & Commissioner ofTechnical Education, Telangana State, Hyderabad further informed that a Resolution was made in the Meeting held on 20-03-2015 between the Chief Secretaries of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana States and theAdditional Secretary of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, wherein it was agreed to conduct the POLYCET 2015 examination separately for the States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and to maintain the Presidential Orders pertaining to the sharing of seats in the ratio of 42:36:22 in Andhra University, Osmania University, Sri Venkateshwara University regions for the Courses offered in the Statewide Institutions.
     The Chairman, State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad and Commissioner of Technical Education, Telangana State, Hyderabad has requested the Government in the reference 4th read above, to permit them to issue Notification with a Schedule  to conduct
the POLYCET 2015 separately for the Telangana State on the date proposed i.e., 31-05-2015
(Sunday) from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM across the State and confirm that the ratio of 42:36:22
is followed by both Andhra Pradesh Government and Telangana State Government in Statewide
Institutions in their jurisdictions.

          After careful examination of the matter, the Government hereby permit the Chairman, 

State Board of Technical Education and Training and Commissioner of Technical Education, 

Telangana State, Hyderabad to conduct the Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET) 

examination 2015, separately for the State of Telangana for admissions into Polytechnics and other Technical Institutions in the State offering Engineering and Non-Engineering Courses for the academic year 2015-16 and to maintain the Presidential Orders pertaining to sharing of seats in the ratio of 42:36:22 in Andhra University, Osmania University and Sri Venkateshwara University regions for the Courses offered in the State-wide Institutions. The schedule of POLYCET- 2015 mentioned in the annexure is appended to this order.

         The Chairman, State Board of Technical Education and Training and Commissioner of Technical Education, Telangana State, Hyderabad shall take further necessary action in the matter 

accordingly.
